The city of Monterey has come to represent a veritable patchwork of different nationalities, and an upcoming festival has been organized to honor residents who are proud of their Turkish heritage.
The Turkish Arts & Culture Festival has been celebrated for 26 consecutive years, so it is already familiar to Monterey residents. This year's event will be featuring a wide range of attractions ideally suited for the entire family. Some of these include folk dancing, art exhibitions, a selection of Turkish foods, belly dancing, and live music. Additionally, Group Taksim Big Band will be displaying the talents of their whirling dervishes on stage.
Those who will be arriving with children can also participate in a host of engaging activities such as entertaining games, face painting, puppet making classes, and dancing sessions suitable for all ages.
There are many ways in which promoters may choose to advertise culturally oriented festivals. Some highly effective techniques include partnering with well-known brochure printing services, placing Flyers in public venues, managing time-sensitive social media pages, and asking volunteers to distribute pamphlets around the city.
The 26th Annual Turkish Arts & Culture Festival is being celebrated on Saturday, August 22nd, and Sunday August 23rd. Doors open at 2 PM on both days, and close at 9 PM. All activities are being hosted within Custom House Plaza, and admission is free.
