Monterey to host summit on local workforce housing challenges
As the economy of Monterey continues to advance at a breakneck pace, the ability to accommodate the local workforce is one example of the challenges that have emerged. Luckily, experts will soon be meeting to discuss possible remedies.
The 2025 Workforce Housing Solutions Summit will address a handful of important issues, and one of the most prominent is associated with constructing new accommodations for employees. Speakers will discuss the ways in which existing properties can be renovated.
Attendees can also expect to be kept updated with relevant information such as how state legislation will impact the Monterey workforce, potential changes in state and federal budgetary guidelines, and how employers can support housing projects.
The event is being hosted by the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP), and visitors are encouraged to network with one another. Business cards, brochures, and promotional white papers are some common methods that can be employed.
Another intention of this summit is to enable local lawmakers to connect with business owners. There will also be a series of guest speakers, although the exact list has yet to be determined.
The 2025 Workforce Housing Solutions Summit is taking place on Thursday, August 14 between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. It will be held at Oldemeyer Center, 986 Hilby Avenue, Seaside. Tickets are $59 for the general public, and $39 for MBEP members. Additional details can be obtained by calling 1 (831)-915-2806.
