Monterey Park to celebrate Lunar New Year festival

Monterey Park will once again be ushering in the Lunar New Year thanks to a public festival taking place in late January. Organizers expect a large crowd to attend.

The 2026 Monterey Park Lunar New Year celebration has come to represent an annual event, and one intended to celebrate the rich Asian heritage associated with the entire region. Similar to previous years, guests can enjoy a number of on-site amenities. These include live entertainment, street vendors, and an amusement park for children.

This year's celebration will be held over two days, and it is meant to usher in the Chinese Year of the Horse. Furthermore, lion and dragon dancers will be participating in the festivities. These professionals have always represented on the most popular features of the Lunar New Year festival.

The 2026 Monterey Lunar New Year will be taking place on Saturday, January 31st, and Sunday, February 1st. Festivities commence at 10 AM on both days.
