Upgraded bleachers installed in Palmdale park

New bleachers have been installed at the ball fields in Domenic Massari Park in Palmdale. Residents of Lancaster may now want to attend a nearby game, knowing they can sit comfortably.

Poster printing can be used to promote games taking place at such parks with full-color printouts to attract residents and others walking by the park.

The bleachers have been expanded so that more fans can watch the softball and Little League games. The city spent $30,000 to replace the older, timeworn stands. Roger Villasenor, president of the Little League, expressed his thanks to the city for the new bleachers. He said that this project demonstrates that the city cares about sports for youth and in bringing together families from all walks of life in the community and the surrounding areas.

J.J. Murphy, manager for the city, said that this was the latest improvement to one of the most popular parks in the city. Other improvements that have taken place include new basketball courts installed in December 2019, and more recently the installation of decomposed granite walking paths, upgrades to the sidewalks, and resurfacing of the play areas for children.

Murphy concluded that the staff at the park have been able to keep it a place where local people can enjoy the outdoors and its many high-quality amenities.
