This will be a collaborative event among the office of Supervisor Kathryn Barger of Los Angeles County, the city of Palmdale, the city of Lancaster, and all four Chambers of Commerce in the Antelope Valley (AV)— AV Chambers of Commerce, Quartz Hill Chambers of Commerce, AV Black Chambers of Commerce, and AV Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
The chair of the AV Board of Directors, Cherie Payne, expressed her excitement about bringing the people of the Antelope Valley for one big celebration. The president of the AV Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, Sylvia Duarte, said:
“This is a joint effort by all of our Valley’s different Chambers of Commerce, Palmdale and Lancaster, and LA County.”
The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m., starting on Avenue L-8 in Quartz Hill, follow 50th Street West southbound, and ending at R. Lee Ermey Avenue in Palmdale.
Funding for the parade is provided by public funding from the city of Lancaster, the city of Palmdale, and the Los Angeles County Supervisor.
The parade will be on Saturday July 4 and promises to be a united patriotic celebration with entries from all over the Antelope Valley. Poster printing can be used throughout the valley to encourage people to register for the parade and attend such an historic event.
