To get the Christmas frenzy underway, Santa will play host at a breakfast this Saturday, December 8, in the Stanley Kleiner Activity Center at Lancaster City Park. Eaters will be able to enjoy treats like pancakes and ham.
Breakfast times are 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, and 11:00 am. Seating is limited to 125 seats for each time. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children and an adult must stay with their children at all times. Pictures with Santa are available for $3 per picture and arts and crafts will be available for children to do. For more information, call (661) 723-6077.
Santa will also be the grand finale for the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce William J. “Pete” Knight Christmas Parade, also this Saturday. The parade will travel down 5th Street West from Avenue Q in Palmdale.
Poster printing will no doubt be used to highlight that toy donors are needed to help fill the Antelope Valley Transit Authority’s (AVTA) 40-foot bus. The AVTA has partnered with Wal-Mart, the Antelope Valley Mall, and High Desert Broadcasting for the 20th anniversary of the AVTA’s Stuff a Bus.
The bus will be located at the AV Mall, 1233 W. Rancho Vista Boulevard, from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Saturday. With every donation of an unwrapped toy or clothing valued at $10 or more, the donor will receive a $5 gift card to the mall. All donations will go to local families in the Antelope Valley. For more information call Wendy Williams at (661) 729-2239.
