Residential development receives first approval in Lancaster

Production home elevations have been approved by the Architectural and Design Commission of Lancaster for a proposed development at the corner of Avenue I and 90th Street West.

The project will develop 99 single-family residential lots and will be built by K. Hovnanian Homes based in New Jersey. There will be three architectural styles offered—Spanish modern. farmhouse, and Hacienda—and four different floor plans. Each style will have an attached garage for two cars and range from 1,927 square feet to 2,401 square feet. Each home will have an attractive front yard with windows facing the street and a porch with a distinctive entryway.

A stone veneer and neutral tones are the features of the Hacienda style while paneling on the front elevations and gray tones are features of the farmhouse style. Recessed windows, a stucco exterior, and varying roof pitches are features of the Spanish modern design. Local Print shops can help with creating Brochures and other printed materials showing such home styles and describing their features.

This new development would become part of the Westview Estates, an existing gated community. When completed, it will have a total of 425 homes.

Charles Rangel of K. Hovnanian Homes was appreciative of the support of the Commission for the project. He is hoping that a model home will be available for viewing in the spring.
