A drive-thru Chick-fil-A restaurant is now open in Lancaster at the corner of 15th Street West and Avenue K.
The restaurant, which is drive-thru only and does not offer sit-down dining, spans 2,663 square feet and has an outdoor dining patio of 1,370 square feet for 64 patio seats. It will also have carryout, as well as a walk-up window. The hours will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm.
The drive-thru has two lanes that can accommodate up to 31 vehicles in line for the pickup window. Those who order via the outside walk-up window or through curbside ordering can also eat in their cars in the parking lot.
Banner printing can be used at such sites to make residents and visitors aware of such new eateries in an area.
R. Rex Parris, mayor of Lancaster, expressed his thrill about the opening of Chick-fil-A in the city. He said that businesses around the new restaurant are blooming and bring a sense of revitalization to an area that has been overlooked for many years.
In honor of the new restaurant, Feeding America will receive a donation of $25,000 from Chick-fil-A. It will also be providing 100 local heroes that have made an impact in the Lancaster area with free entrees at the restaurant for a year. The restaurant also plans to participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table, an initiative that provides local shelters, food banks, soup kitchens, and on-profit organizations with surplus food.
