Officials from Palmdale recently announced that a Sprouts Farmers Market will be coming to anchor a proposed development in a major retail corridor in the city. Those from nearby Lancaster will want to take advantage of shopping at this grocery chain, which offers natural, fresh, and organic products at affordable prices.
The news was made public by Steve Hofbauer, mayor of Palmdale, once CBRE Group, Inc. a commercial real estate services and investment firm, announced it had reached an agreement with the grocer. Hofbauer expressed his excitement about this new project.
A mixed-use development is planned just west of the Antelope Valley Mall and will include commercial space and residential units, such as apartments and townhouses. The store will be part of this development.
Hofbauer added that the other commercial establishments in the development have not yet been determined but having Sprouts as an anchor should help attract other commercial entities and businesses to the development and in the area. Banner printing can be used at such sites for promotional purposes to garner enthusiasm for their potential.
John Mlynar, a spokesman for Palmdale, said the city planners have been working with the developers for the past year on this project. The project is still in the planning phase and public hearings will soon be held on the development.
