Lancaster launches new hydrogen program

First Public Hydrogen (FPH2) has been launched by the city of Lancaster. A new public renewable hydrogen utility, it is designed to connect producers with purchasers through a transparent and seamless process.

FPH2 is a joint powers authority between the cities of Lancaster and Industry. Currently producers face significant investment challenges while there is a substantial disconnect with those looking to take advantage of renewable hydrogen. FPH2 bridges this gap to foster collaboration to drive the development and growth of the hydrogen market.

Renewable hydrogen producers, including those who produce hydrogen through wind and solar energy and natural gas, will be connected with reliable and confirmed buyers who have plans to use the potential decarbonization of hydrogen across many industries that include the power sector, transportation, and shipping ports.

More information about such programs and their benefits for a community and a state is often provided with flyer printing.

Chair of the FPH2 Board of Directors and mayor of the city of Lancaster, R. Rex Parris, said the city has made groundbreaking steps to foster a sustainable and successful hydrogen economy. He expressed his honor to serve as chair of the FPH2 board and to work with experts from academia, industry, and government. He added that now is the time to bring the same level of innovation and dedication to the increase in the renewable hydrogen technologies that are available in Lancaster to the rest of the state.
