What's Happening in Lancaster, CA…

Rodrick Armalin is now the new Public Safety Director of the city of Lancaster.

Armalin will be leading the team of Code Enforcement Officers and Rangers, as well as the new hybrid policing effort in this department. Announcements of such appointments are often made known throughout the community with poster printing.

R. Rex Parris, mayor of Lancaster, expressed his excitement about the opportunity Armalin will provide to strengthen public safety in the city, and is looking forward to seeing how he will lead the department.

Of particular interest to Parris is hybrid policing, and Armalin will be working with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) to implement it. This will enable the Public Safety Department of Lancaster to address the more repetitive and chronic issues that tend to drain the resources of the city. The Department will also address the perceptions of public safety and build on the capacities of the community. This will enable the LASD to focus on the crime issues that need immediate attention from law enforcement.

Armalin expressed his excitement about serving as the Public Safety Director for Lancaster. He said he was born and raised in Los Angeles County and has been familiar with the city of Lancaster for many years, meaning his experiences have prepared him to take on this position.
