The Annual Home Show & Emergency Expo will take place at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds (AVF) in Lancaster later this month.
This year’s offering will be the 27th occurrence of this popular, three-day event, which this year will be co-sponsored by Lowe’s Home Improvement and the California Dairy Distributors.
For the adults, there will be daily demonstrations and how-to seminars on diverse topics such as landscaping, vegetable gardening, and food preservation. Special appearances by James Young, the star of ‘I Hate My Kitchen’, will take place Saturday from noon to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Kids can take part in the Lowe’s Home Improvement sponsored ‘Make and Take’ projects from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the whole family can enjoy the 1st Responders & Community Obstacle Challenge, while Sunday offers up the Mascot Obstacle Challenge.
The event runs March 27 to 29. Admission is free on Friday and the hours are noon to 5:00 pm. General admission on March 28 and 29 is $5, seniors $3, and children under 12 free with an adult purchase. Parking is $5 each day.
A big event such as this usually needs a substantial, long-lasting advertising choice such as supplied by a poster printing service, allowing promoters to announce the likes of the Shakey Quakey House, Ultimate Garden Giveaway, or free tomato plant given to every attendee.
