Emergency response center to be built in Lancaster
Ground has been broken on the Multi-Agency Regional Resilience Center (MARRC) in Lancaster. A collaboration of Los Angeles County, the city of Lancaster, the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Antelope Valley (AV) Union High School District, and the city of Palmdale made this project possible.
Mayor R. Rex Parris said that MARRC is going to play an important role in the emergency response capabilities of the region. He also expressed his gratitude to the partners and the AV Fair and Event Center in this endeavor to create a better event and emergency center for the valley.
There will be more shelter space, improved sanitation and kitchen facilities, showers, and other upgrades so that the citizens and families of Lancaster will be comfortable and protected in times of need. Renewable energy will be used to power the project and continue the achievements of the city as a leader in the technology of green energy.
When ground is broken on such facilities, brochure printing is often used to provide further details on their features, amenities, and services.
MARCC will be named the Parris Center in honor of the mayor and the dedication of him and his family to the city. The family has been committed to public service for many years and has been active in many projects around the city that have created a better future for residents.
