Holiday-themed run to take place in Downey

The Run Run Rudolph 5k Run and Walk is scheduled to be hosted by the Virtual Run Challenge in Downey this December.

Participants from around the country can purchase tickets to the event for $29 per individual. For those outside of the USA, tickets cost $39 per person. Registration costs include a Tyvek race bib, a Run Run Rudolph Finisher Medal, an optional long-sleeve finisher shirt, reindeer antlers, and a Rudolph-themed running buff.

The Virtual Run Challenge has arranged this event to take place virtually. Participants at any location in Downey can join in and complete a 5K walk or run on a treadmill indoors, or outside at any location while tracking their respective speeds and distances. Poster printing is favored by many organizers of virtual events to create local advertisements to display on bulletin boards around the community.

Runners can share their results by emailing them to the Virtual Run Challenge, submitting them to the website’s results page, or sharing them with the event STRAVA Club or the Facebook group.

The virtual 2020 Run Run Rudolph 5K Run and Walk is set to take place at any time between Tuesday, December 1 at midnight and Saturday, January 9 until 11:30 pm. Race packets will be shipped out to participants beginning on the first day of the event.
