Downey prepares for evening of Latin dance performances

Not unlike other cities throughout Southern California, Downey has been heavily influenced by its Latin-American roots. An upcoming August exhibition will be highlighting the traditional art of flamenco, and this live performance is open to everyone.

The Spanish phrase Con El Alma can be translated as "with the soul", and this is an appropriate way to describe what attendees can expect to enjoy. A series of professional flamenco dancers will be performing, slated to be accompanied by equally talented flamenco musicians. Organizers have announced that more than 50 dancers will be taking to the stage, and even those who are not familiar with flamenco music should enjoy what the night entails.

Live concerts centered on specific cultures will often rely on advertising techniques specifically focusing on certain demographics. They might choose to use proven techniques such as mass brochure printing, handing out Flyers around the community, or paying for airtime on some of the local radio stations.

The Con El Alma flamenco concert is debuting on Sunday, August 23 at 2:00 PM. This event is being hosted by the Downey Civic Center located at 11111 Brookshire Avenue. Tickets cost an average of $63 per person, although prices and availability may change as the date draws closer. Further information about the day can be found by visiting the online listing.
