A motor oil filter exchange event is set to take place in Downey this February.
The organizer of this four-hour event is KJServices (KJS). KJS is a consulting firm for recycling that began in 1997. The company provides waste management strategies and solutions to communities throughout Southern California for products ranging from food waste to demolition and construction debris.
KJServices will be hosting the free event for Downey residents this February to bring their old motor oil filters over to exchange for new ones. Community residents can bring in filters, used oil, or both to recycle in exchange for a free motor oil change kit. Anyone who brings in used oil must have it safely stored within a clean container holding a maximum of five gallons. Each person is limited to bring in a maximum of two used filters in exchange for two replacements. Flyer printing is a way that organizers of similar community events often use to specify essential event-related information in printouts for all interested individuals.
Social distancing and face masks are requirements for all attendees. Only permanent residents of Downey are eligible to take part in the event.
This free local event is scheduled to occur from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Pep Boys Auto Parts and Services on Saturday, February 6.
