In Downey next month, HOPE will hold the Latina Empowerment Day, a workshop series that is intended to empower Latina professionals to hone their knowledge and skills and increase their community impact.
HOPE stands for Hispanas Organized for Political Equality and is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works for economic and politic parity of Latinas in the community by offering educational, advocacy, and leadership training. HOPE provides innovative programming that prepares Latinas to become civic leaders and policy advocates.
The Latina Empowerment Day will feature a one-day workshop series that will include the tools necessary to empower Latinas wanting to make a change in their community. The workshop is designed for Latina professionals who are interested in leveling up their leadership skills, financial knowledge, and understanding of relevant issues in the community. The workshop will also offer plenty of networking opportunities for attendees to connect, learn from, and engage with like-minded peers.
Professional workshops that include networking sessions can encourage attendees to bring along an updated supply of Business Cards to give out to potential connections.
The Latina Empowerment Day will be held on Friday, August 23 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. It will take place at the SoCalGas Energy Resource Center, which is located at 9240 Firestone Boulevard. General admission is $20, and sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $1,000.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
