Downey hosts national touring show of Fab Four

‘In My Life’, a musical biography of the Beatles as seen through the eyes of manager Brian Epstein, will be coming to the Downey Civic Center next week.

The well-known tribute band Abbey Road will be featured in the show, which presents many of the critical moments in the lives of the Beatles. These include their start at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, their introduction to the American audience on the Ed Sullivan Show, performances at Shea Stadium, and their final live performance on the rooftop of their offices at Apple Corp. Brian Epstein serves as narrator, which enables the audience to see the world of the Beatles from their point of view and to listen to their most popular songs.

Vintage instruments, using the dialect of Liverpool, and paying precise attention to detail, the group Abbey Road is able to create this unique Beatles show. The audience is taken back to February 1964 when the Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time in the United States, through their various stages of music like the psychedelic era of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and the rock and roll zeitgeist of Revolution.

The show will be on Friday, January 16 at 8:00 pm. As with any type of performance, it is likely a flyer printing company was hired to make handouts to inform people about the show.
