A popular band from the local area is having a party to celebrate the release of their new album.
Mother Rose is throwing a listening/release party for their latest effort, “The Man in All My Stories.” This is the first show the band will have given in more than two years.
The venue is The Epic Lounge, which the band enjoys, saying it has good sound, good drinks, free parking, and is a local establishment.
Band members say they have been working hard on the new release, and hope their fans will enjoy it. They plan to spend about two hours relaxing and listening to the album with fans and friends, after which they will hold a question-and-answer session for those who are curious about what the band has been doing since they were last in Downey. After that, a guest artist will perform, though that act has yet to be announced. Finally, Mother Rose will take the stage and finish out the event. They plan to have merchandise for sale to their fans as well, with poster printing likely to have been carried out.
Mother Rose is an alternative rock band that blends progressive rock, indie, and acoustic styles into a unique sound. The listening and launch party is scheduled to begin March 7 at 8:00 pm at the Epic Lounge on Second Street, Downey.
