Locals who go nuts over nuts may wish to mark their Calendars now for the Old Town Clovis Farmers’ Market’s upcoming Pistachio Party, where the pistachio will take pride of place.
The festivities, which have been brought to the community courtesy of a sponsorship from the American Pistachio Growers organization, will be a celebration of these flavorful nuts and all they can do. Guests at the evening event will be able to sample different varieties of the locally grown treats, and there will also be a chance to try drinks, pastries, cakes and other baked goods, jams, jellies, funnel cake, and other recopies made with this popular ingredient. Churned pistachio ice cream will also be on the menu, and there will be a wide assortment of other activities to enjoy as well.
The foodies in the crowd will be able to take in a cooking demonstration provided by institute of technology culinary academy chefs, and much more.
