Village Fest returns to local museum

Bakersfield’s longest running music, food, wine, and beer festival will be returning to the Kern County Museum’s Kern Pioneer Village in early September.

The 27th Annual Village Fest will feature 15 bands performing on five stages, 30 local restaurants will be serving unlimited food bites, and the museum’s 16 acres will be divided into six themed areas.

Bands will include Dirty Pool, Orphan Jon and the Abandoned, Foster Campbell and Friends, Dancing Tommy, and Motley Who? Each stage will also feature local emcees, among whom will be Danny and Kait Hill, Jovon Dangerfield, and Miranda Whitworth.

Over 60 breweries will be offering over 100 types of brews, and more than 25 area wineries will feature 70 or more wines in the Vino Village.

General admission will be $109 until the event day, when admission will go up to $125. Tickets include 15 drink vouchers and unlimited food bites.

Sponsors for the Craft, Micro, Vino, Kahunaville, and Village Stages at the $5,000 level will need to get their Logo Design to the event organizers before the event banner printing begins.

All proceeds from the event will go to C.A.R.E. for Kids, a local organization that raises money for Kern County children’s charities. The fest will take place Saturday, September 9 from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm and the Kern County Museum is at 3801 Chester Avenue.
