Bakersfield runners will be lacing their sneakers for two running events taking place next month.
The Inaugural Bakersfield Coffee Run will be a 5K run/walk, timed 10K, and a one-mile non-timed run/walk. Swag includes a variety of hot coffees in a cup sporting this year’s event Logo Design, long-sleeved shirts featuring the event graphic design, and finisher medallions. Registration for all runs will be $35.
Late packet pickup will be from 7:30 am to 8:45 am, awards for the largest group will be at 8:45 am, followed by the Coffee Costume contest at 8:50 am on race day. The 10K starts at 9:00 am followed by the 5K at 9:05 am, and the one-mile run starts at 9:07 am.
Coffee Run will take place Saturday, February 18 at 11298 Stockdale Highway.
EPIC Series Obstacle Challenge Bakersfield will be a hybrid obstacle course with elements of strongman, cross-training, and traditional racing. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced obstacle options will open the event to a wide audience of racing enthusiasts.
EPIC open course waves will begin at 8:15 am and end at 1:00 pm. Participants will be climbing walls, lifting obstacles, crawling under nets, and sprinting over a two-mile long course. The race fee will be $60 for adults and $25 for accompanying children.
