Soft Skills training still being offered in June

Mangates still has its last one-day 10 Soft Skills training session scheduled for late June. There are no prerequisites for this session.

The course will be an overview of skills that facilitate good communication. It will specially target professionals that wish to become more aware and improve their interaction with others.

Learning objectives include the “soft skills,” which are teamwork, problem solving, effective communication, time management, and self-confidence. Other skills that will be covered will include work ethic and attitude, flexibility and adaptability, and the ability to take and learn from criticism.

Part of the day will be learning about effective networking. People that attend workshops such as these like to get some business card printing done beforehand so they will have updated cards to pass along.

Technical requirements include eBooks, laptops, eReaders, smartphone or tablet, internet access, Adobe DRM support software such as Bluefire Reader or Digital Editions, and eBook activation and download instructions.

Course materials will include manuals, reference materials and presentation slides.
The program will be divided into 11 modules. Module one will define soft skills. Each of the next eight modules will discuss one or two soft skills. Module 11 will wrap things up.

10 Soft Skills You Need will take place at Regus-California, Bakersfield, 4900 California Avenue, Tower B, 2nd floor on Wednesday, June 24 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
