A benefit for Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue will be held at the Oak Tree Country Club in Tehachapi this weekend.
‘Paws & Pearls: A Marley's Mutts Formal Affair’ is an opportunity to mingle with the donors and recognize those who have helped to fund the rescue program and enjoy an evening out. Stationery printers are a great resource for printing programs for local fundraising events like this.
Auction items include weekend getaways to Las Vegas, Carpinteria, and Mammoth, and a guitar signed by Merle Haggard.
Marley’s Mutts rescues dogs close to being put down in Kern County shelters. At this time, no found dogs or owner-surrendered dogs are being accepted.
Rescued dogs are vaccinated and either neutered or spayed. Stories about dogs that have been successfully adopted are available on the website ,as well as dogs and puppies upfor adoption.
Many of the rescued dogs have been mistreated and require medical treatment. In order to maintain the rescue facility, there is a fee for all adopted dogs. Visits to adopt dogs can be made by calling (661) 972-3852.
Educational field trips for schools are also available at the facility. Local trainer Lisa Porter works with the dogs to reduce their aggressive tendencies and teach them to socialize with other animals.
