Local Music Hall of Fame resumes schedule

Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame is resuming its schedule of music tributes to iconic bands, instrumentalists and vocalists.

A Bob Seager Tribute band, Turn the Page, will be performing next month on Thursday, September 3. The show will be 90 minutes.

Two shows are scheduled for October, and the one on October 1 will be part of the Songwriter Series. This show will feature Larry Stewart, a country music artist who was once the lead vocalist for Restless Heart. The second, on October 22, will be a live Beach Boys Tribute by Sail On.

Looking on into the future, A Beatles Tribute by Abbey Road is on the agenda for November 5. On November 19, the Songwriter Series performer will be Frank Meyers. A record producer, country vocalists, and songwriter Meyers is well-known for his 1995 Grammy winning song “I Swear,” which he co-wrote with Gary Baker.

Finally, on December 3, the Music Hall of Fame will feature an Elvis Tribute by Matt Lewis.

All performances will take place at the Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame, 2230 Q Street. Tickets run $35, $40 or $45 depending on seat location and performer. All performances will begin at 7:00 pm.
