Touted as one of the U.S. top 10 zoo lights light shows in the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and readers of the Bakersfield Californian, CALM California Living Museum is now open for its CALM HolidayLights Drive-Thru 2022 with its three million lights.
Vehicles will enter near the Lake Ming boat ramps on Lake Ming Road and travel along a mile-long path of animated light displays both old and new. The path will wind around the venue’s spacious parking lot. One display will be a 300” tunnel with nostalgic displays resembling those reminiscent of years gone by. Guests may want to search for Bigfoot, who can be found among the installations. The drive takes about 30 minutes.
Tickets are $30 per carload and valid only for the night indicated.
Since wait times vary from one to one-a-half hours during peak periods on Friday and Saturday, so families with small children are advised to come on a less busy weeknight if they can. To make the wait time more enjoyable, Quiet Book Queen will be bringing a bundle of activities to keep everyone entertained.
Grimm Family Education Foundation, the presenter of the event, has posted that photos will be taken during the event. Pictures like these are often taken to local Print shops and used as advertising for the following year.
CALM HolidayLights Drive-Thru 2022 runs from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and will end Saturday, December 31.
