The Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield will be holding two events that have become traditions in the area.
Along with the athletes, the 25th Kern County Scottish Games and Gatherings will feature clans, pipe bands, merchandise, and food vendors. Nine local bands will feature, including Dublin Rain, Banshee in the Kitchen, Katie Jane Band, Golden Bough, Wrenwood Sessions, Whiskey Galore, and Wicked Tinkers.
Pre-sale adult admission tickets are $20 per day or $30 for both days, with both options costing $5 more at the gate. Tickets for kids ages six to twelve will be $10 and those under five will get in free of charge.
The 25th Annual Scottish Games and Gatherings will be at the Kern County Fairgrounds, 1142 S P Street, from April 23 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on April 24.
Also, the 45th Annual Western Street Rod Nationals is now accepting vehicles from 1992 and earlier for its three-day event.
Commercial exhibitors at events such as this often have Business Cards available for those wishing to get in contact with them afterwards.
Rod cruising and live entertainment will take place on the first two nights, and a swap meet and the Nick Donovan’s Rockin’ Road Show are scheduled for each day.
The Western Street Rod Nationals will be over the weekend of April 29 to May 1.
