Kern County CASA has parties planned

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, has scheduled a couple of fundraising parties during the next few months at locations around Bakersfield.

Toward the end of July, Nick Panici, Nick Hansa and Pum Hansa will host Chef’s Choice Noodle Bar’s Gourmet Dinner and Cooking Class. Guests will sit down to a three-course dinner. Afterward there will be a cooking demonstration that will end with an interactive cooking experience. The event is limited to 40 guests and tickets are $100.

This event will take place at Chef’s Choice Noodle Bar, 1534 19th Street, Wednesday, July 22nd from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Chocolate lovers will be flocking to the Milton Hershey’s 163rd Birthday Decadent Chocolate Party at a farm-to-table restaurant, Dot X Ott. Executive Chef Take Kato will design the four-course meal with a chocolate theme. He will also choose complementary wine for each course. The event is limited to 30 guests and costs $100 per ticket.

This event will be Sunday, September 13, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Dot & Ott, 930 18th Street.

Proceeds will go to funding CASA, an organization of volunteers that speak for neglected and abused children during their time in the Juvenile Dependency court system here in Kern County.
