Mercy House will be hosting its first ever Bakersfield Pickleball and Music Festival in mid-November.
The tournament will include three pickleball levels with women’s and men’s divisions. The tournament format will be round robin and all teams will play at least five games. Registration is $65 per player, but anyone can show up learn the game free of charge. Sizes for the event shirts sporting this year’s graphic design and division assignments will be included in registration.
Festivities surrounding the tournament will include live music and entertainment, beer gardens, and vendors. Local artisans’ creations and food from Bakersfield restaurants will be available for purchase. Many festivalgoers often like to collect Business Cards from those artisans and food vendors they particularly enjoy.
Sponsorships will be available for $1,000 for Silver level, $3,000 for Gold, and $5,000 for Platinum. Local businesses can have their company Logo Design on Promotional Products donated for the Pickleball Player Bags, and contribute awards for the tournament winners.
All of the proceeds will go to the Brundage Lane Navigation Center, which seeks to help end homelessness in the Bakersfield area.
Bakersfield Pickleball and Music Festival will take place Saturday, November 13 at Jastro Park, 2900 Truxtun Avenue. The tournament will start at 7:00 am and the festival will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
