Golf classic coming this fall
The Kern County Taxpayers Association & Donna Carpenter Memorial Golf Classic is scheduled for September.
The tournament will be in a scramble format with a shotgun start. Lunch and registration will come beforehand, starting at 11:00 am.
Contests include most accurate long drive, closest to the pin, team and individual putting and a participation drawing. Tournament prizes will go to 1st place for low gross and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for low net scorers. A hole-in-one on a predesignated hole means a new car.
Individual registration will be $250 and comes with Hole sponsor recognition. Team registration of $1,000 will include admission for four and a Hole sponsorship.
Other sponsorships include tee, driving range, and putting green levels. The $1,500 Event sponsor will include one foursome and signs at the contests. The $2,000 Cigar Tent or Ball level will include signage on two holes and one foursome.
Participant raffle/prize and lunch sponsors at the $3,000 tier will need to get a little banner printing done in order to have their logo designs on banners over the lunch area and check-in. This level includes two foursomes and three signs on three holes. The $5,000 tier offers three foursomes, four hole signs, and a banner placed in areas such as those in the preceding level including one in the evening reception area.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be available after the tournament. The golf classic will be at the Bakersfield Country Club, Thursday, September 10.
