California Teachers Summit 2016 to be held this month

The California Teachers Summit is a one-day event to bring together teachers, administrators, and other educators. The event will be held at approximately three dozen locations statewide including locations at California State University (CSU) in Bakersfield.

It is likely that various educational locations have Posters in place to notify their personnel about this 2nd annual event, which is free to attend. The event is held in partnership by the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU), the New Teacher Center, and California State University (CSU).

The daylong agenda will cover various topics including overviews, breakout sessions, and EdTalk, which are short sessions from teachers who will bring inspiring perspectives on how to succeed in accordance to California standards. Also on the agenda is an afternoon keynote speaker and a photo-op moment. Teachers will be able to choose topics as well on the day of event that they wish to explore.

The event will conclude with an informal, optional networking session for those who wish to attend and mingle with fellow educators for discussions and future connections.

Attendees are encouraged to invite fellow coworkers and to register early, as seating is limited in some locations. Teachers may use this event towards Continuing Education credits and should enquire for more details. The event will take place on Friday, July 29 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
