Bakersfield will host a gastric festival today, with chicken very much front and center.
For those with a thing for wings, the Bakersfield Wing Festival will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. There will be regular wings and fire wings contests, games, and live music. Festivalgoers will choose the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
Over 60 market and food vendors will be onsite and the entry fee includes a free souvenir glass touting the event’s Logo Design.
General admission will be $45 and will include wing and beer samplings from local vendors, and access to the market and other food vendors.
VIP tickets will be $85 and will include shaded seating, catered food, one picture at the photo booth, lots of wings from wing vendors, unlimited soft drinks, and beer samplings.
Everyone is invited to bring shade umbrellas and chairs. Picnic tables will be available, and free water and cooling stations will also be to hand.
Attendees are advised to bring cash as some of the vendors will not be accepting credit cards.Proceeds will to Upside Academy and to Bakersfield Police Activities League, both of which are nonprofits that serve the youth in Kern County.
