Bakersfield will see out 2018 with the Bakersfield Marriott’s First Annual New Year’s Eve Gala.
Festivities will pulsate with spectacular lighting and heart pumping music. The New York Ball drop will be at 9:00 pm, and Chris Lopez will be the featured performer until 10:00 pm. A two-hour appetizer reception will include complimentary party favors and a glass of champagne.
The Social Vibes’ DJ Gabriel will lead the crowd in a rousing countdown at midnight. Therese and the Sweetness, playing a mix of modern covers, ‘80s classics, and ‘90s hits, will take over until the small hours of 2019.
Since this will be the inaugural New Year’s Eve event for the venue, the organizers will be taking plenty of pictures to include in its upcoming brochure printing.
The California Bluegrass Association will kick off the New Year with its annual Bakersfield Great 48 Hour Jam 2019 coming in mid-January. Bluegrass enthusiasts from novice to professional are expected to attend.
The event will be two full days of continuous jamming, workshops and performances by well-known California professional bluegrass bands.
The California Bluegrass 48 Hour Jam will be January 10 through the 13. The Friday evening concert will in the Marriot Ballroom.
The Bakersfield Marriott’s First Annual NYE Gala will be December 31 starting at 8:00 pm and winding down around 2:00 am on January 1.
Both events will be at the Marriott Convention Center, 801 Truxtun Avenue.
