Bakersfield readies for first annual Fiesta Fest
Latino/Hispanic restaurants here in the Bakersfield area are coming together to present the first ever Fiesta Fest Bakersfield. The event will be coming in early March.
The celebration will be for those over the age of 21 and guests can look forward to tasting-size portions of Latino/Hispanic food. The event will also feature samplings of micheladas, margaritas, beverages, and a wide selection of beer. There will also be a DJ and live music. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.
Although the early bird $45 ticket sales have ended, the $55 presale ones are still available. These tickets will include admission, unlimited food tastings, and beer, wine, and spirit tasting, along with games and live music. As of Monday, February 13, admission will go up to $65.
The $100 VIP tickets include private specialty beverage samplings, a separate gate entrance, air-conditioned private restrooms, and all the amenities offered by the regular admission.
Some of the proceeds will go to AGM Community Partners, which is a 501c3 organization that holds community fundraising events to educate the public about the area. Proceeds from these events go to local charities.
Since this will be the first time for the festival, pictures taken during the event can be taken to local print shops and included in next year’s Bakersfield visitor’s guides.
