Bakersfield Pirate 5K Booty Run also called the Pirate of the Cure-I-bbean Booty Run will be held at the end of January. Donations will go to the American Cancer Society.
The event will include the 5K Run/Walk, a 2K Walk and there will be a Virtual run option. The 5K Run/Walk costs $30 to participate and will begin at 9:00 am. The 2K Walk will cost $30 and will kick off at 9:05 am. The Virtual Run will be $40.
Awards will be given to winners in each of the eight age groups running the 5K.
Swag will include finisher pirate medallions and tee shirts with 2021 pirate 5K graphic design. Each registrant will be entered in a raffle to win a Pirate Treasure Chest. Three smaller chests will be drawn, each with a key. The key that opens the large chest wins the booty.
All participants are invited to wear their best pirate garb and enter the Pirate costume contest. Winners will receive prizes.
Vendors will be onsite at the finish line.
The event will open with packet pickup at 7:45am. The Largest Group award and winners of the Pirate Garb contest will be announced at 8:45 am. Pirate Chest Give-away winners and awards will be given out at 9:50 am.
The Bakersfield Pirate 5K Booty Run is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th 2021, at the Park at River Walk, 11298 Stockdale Highway.
