Bakersfield parties for charity
The Village Fest Committee will be presenting its 25th Annual Bakersfield VillageFest in early September. This festival will be over 16 acres of activities, music and food.
Over 30 local restaurants will be on site with an unlimited supply of food samples. More than 60 breweries will be vending 100+ different brands of brews.
The site will be sectioned off with seven themed areas- the popular Micro Brews Alley, Big KahunaVille, La CantinaVille, , the sponsors’ only Club VIP and the Village Lawn. Vino Village will feature 70+ wines made by over 25 wineries from along the Central Coast. The Village Sports Tent will have food and sports viewing.
Seven staging areas – one at each themed area plus the Microbrews Stage and the Main Entrance - will offer 18 music performances. DJ Phantom Stranger will start things off at 5:00 at the front entrance. Pan-O-Rama Steel Drum Band will play starting at 5:45 pm. Bands at the other areas will include Mr. Trimbel and Unique Soul, Foster Campbell and Friends, Bar Room Riot and Truxton Mile. Fans often wear their favorite band’s logo design on sweats, tees and visors.
Admission tickets will include unlimited food samples and 15 drink samples.
This event will benefit the kids of Kern County through the Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment and the Kern County Museum.
VillageFest will take place September 7th at Kern Pioneer Village, 3801 Chester Avenue starting at 6:00 pm.
