Kern County Museum will host its annual Village Fest in mid-September.
Guests can enjoy unlimited food samples from 30 Bakersfield restaurants, listen to 15 bands on five stages, choose from 100 different brews from 60 breweries, and over 70 wines from 25 wineries.
The venue’s 16 acres will be divided into six themed areas - Club VIP will be for sponsors, and the other five are Craft Brews Village, Vino Village, Big Kahunaville, Micro Brews Alley ,and Village Lawn.
Entertainment will include DJ Phantom Stranger at the park entrance, and Pan-O-Rama Steel Drum Band at the Main Entrance.
Each village will also present three cover bands. The Vino Village Stage will offer Emcee Carla Barrientos including No Strings Attached, playing country, pop, rock and hip-hop. Microblues Stage will include Foster Campbell & Friends, a local band playing RB and soul.
The Kahunaville Stage will have Hate Drugs, an indie/surf rock band. The Craft Brew stage will include Mento Buru, playing Jamaican ska and Latin jazz, and Village Lawn will have the Joe Peters band covering music from the 1950s through the present day.
Proceeds will go to the Kern County Museum and will benefit the Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment (C.A.R.E.). A business that sponsors events such as this often gets its Logo Design on the event’s website, social media and in any advertising.
Village Fest will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. General admission is $95 until event day when it increases to $125.
