Bakersfield looks to three December runs

Three runs have been scheduled for December – Bakersfield Rudolph Run, Hannukkah 8 Krazy Kilometers, and Bakersfield Jingle Bell Run for Toys for Tots.

Bakersfield Rudolph Run will have a 5K run/walk ($45), Kids’ 5K run/walk ($15) with a 5K Virtual run/walk option ($45). Swag will include reindeer antlers and holiday sweatshirts with Rudolph graphic design. Guests can experience a course replete with reindeer games, certificates for finishers, a costume contest, and a hot chocolate bar. Donations go to shelter and food for those in need locally.

Bakersfield Rudolph Run will be Sunday, December 11th from 7:30 am to 11:00 am 13375 Lake Ming Road.

Hannukkah 8 Krazy Kilometers will include an Krazy 8k Run ($34), and a 2K Latke Loop Fun Run/Walk ($30). Swag includes a bag, finisher medal, race bib, racer raffle tickets, refreshments, and water. Those that enter before November 27 will receive T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design.

Festivities will include vendors, holiday costume contest, and music. Part of the proceeds will go to the Kern River Parkway Foundation.

Hannukkah 8 Krazy Kilometers will take place at Panorama Vista Preserve on Sunday, December 11th beginning at 8:30 am.

Finally, the Park at River Walk will hold its annual Bakersfield Jingle Bell Run in aid of Toys for Tots on December 17th. The 5K and untimed 2K walk ($35) will begin at 8:00 am. A virtual run is available for $45.

Swag includes Christmas sweatshirts and jingle bells. Runners are asked to bring unwrapped toys in exchange for Santa hats.
