The Pacific Coast Associations of Magicians will be presenting its annual Pacific Coast Association of Magicians 2018 Magic competitions and convention, coming to Bakersfield in a few days. The four-day event will feature music, food, shows, games, lectures, workshops, and competitions.
Lectures will be given by master magic entertainers such as Master Payne, Chris Capehart, Kayla Drescher, Joshua Jay, Trevor and Lorena Watters, Ice McDonald, Carisa Hendrix, and Andi Gladwin, many of whom will no doubt have Business Cards in tow.
Contests will be in 12 categories and will include close-up, mentalism, stage, platform and children’s.
The event will be thrown open to the public for two shows. The first will be ‘Beyond Imagination’ and will feature four of the male lecturers including Master Payne and Chris Capehart. Five ladies, including Carisa Hendrix, take over the second night’s performance with a show titled ‘Magicians - No Wands Required’.
The event will be held at the Bakersfield Marriott’s Convention Center at 801 Truxtun Avenue. The convention will run August 9 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, August 10 from 8:00 am until 11:00 pm, August 11 from 8:00 am until 12:30 am, and August 12 from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm. The ‘Beyond the Imagination Magic Show’ will be Friday, August 10 from 8:00 to 9:30 pm. The ‘Magicians - No Wands Required’ show will be Saturday, August 11 from 8:00 to 9:30 pm.
