Two fundraising events have been scheduled for Bakersfield towards the end of October.
The first one will be the Run 4 Hope Walk and Run-A-Thon. This event has been organized to help participants challenge themselves, connect with like-minded people, and support Victory Outreach’s mission to reunite families, rescue women, and divert children through their Urban Training Centers.
Preregistration for the 5k can be done online for $25, and same-day registration will be $30. Event-day registration will be from 6:00am to 7:30am, and the 5k race will begin a half hour later at 8:00am. The Doggie Run will begin at 9:00am, followed by the Kids’ Run at 10:00am.
Run 4 Hope will take place Saturday, October 21st at Beach Park, 3400 21st Street.
On the 30th Stockdale Country Club, 7001 Stockdale Highway, will be holding the 3rd Annual Bakersfield Area Golf Tournament, with proceeds going to the Shielding the Frontline Kern County and Kern County 999 Foundation.
Foursome registration will be $700, ball drop costing $100, and lunch and program only $45, and challenge coin pre-purchase $20.The format will be a four-person scramble, 9:00am shot gun start, and a closest-to-the-pin contest. Amenities include gift Bags, breakfast, and lunch.
Three sponsorships levels (Star-$1000, Blue-$2500, Gold-$5000) come with the company name and Logo Design on tee Signs.
