Bakersfield attends Valentine dances with sweethearts
Bakersfield dads can attend two local sweetheart dances with their daughters before Valentine’s Day.
The first dance in the month will be ‘Valentines Under the Stars’ this evening. This will be the 22nd year for this father and daughter event. Tickets are $10 per person online and $20 at the door. Guests are invited to bring plates of healthy treats or snacks to share with others. Susan Heflin Photography will be taking commemorative photos before from 4:30 until 5:30 and during the event. Professional photo packages and high-resolution digital files start at $20.
A few days later will be another dance option as Serenity’s Legacy presents its annual Sweetheart Banquet. This one will be for sweethearts of all ages and will include raffles, dinner, and dessert, along with an evening of dancing. All Sound Music Entertainment will present the music for the evening, featuring DJ JC. Admission will be $50 per couple, and a photo booth will be provided.
This will be a fundraiser for local families who have had the recent loss of a minor child and those experiencing the trauma childhood cancer.
Valentines Under the Starts will be tonight, February 1, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 1705 17th Street.
The Serenity’s Sweetheart Dance will be Saturday, February 9 starting at 5:30 at the Westchester, 2801 F Street.
Photos taken at events such as these can be taken to nearby stationery printers and used in letterheads and stationery.
