Campo Verde High School will be holding its 6th Annual Gilbert Public Schools Run for Fun 5k and 1 Mile Walk at the end of February, and Arizona Autism United will be presenting its 2nd Annual Run for Autism in mid-March.
GPS Run swag will include T-Shirts featuring a custom-made event Logo Design, and finisher medals. Awards will go to the top three finishers in each of the 16 age groups. A brunch of fruit, water, granola bars, and Gatorade will be available to runners before and after the race.
Registration will be $40 on race day and $30 for students. Proceeds from the event will benefit enrichment and health activities for students and Gilbert Public School Staff.
The 2023 GPS Run for Fun 5K will take place Saturday, February 25 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm at Campo Verde High School, 3870 S Quartz Street.
Arizona Autism United will be presenting a 5k, Fun Run, and a Kids Dash in its 2nd Annual Run for Autism. The purpose of the run is to raise money to provide services to Gilbert families living with members having developmental disabilities including autism, and to bring community awareness about the 1 in 44 U.S. children diagnosed with autism.
Registration for the 5k Run/Walk will be $45, the 1-Mile Family Fun Run is $30, and the Virtual Run costs $35.
Run for Autism will take place 9:00 am Saturday, March 11 at Freestone District Park, East Juniper Avenue.
