Presented by Fore the Ladies Inc., a Women's golf celebration, Fore the Ladies, will be coming to Gilbert at the end of May.
This golf event will be focused on woman, emphasizing inclusivity, community and an environment welcoming women from beginner golfers to semi-pros. Over 100 ladies are expected to attend.
Food trucks will be onsite offering breakfasts and lunches. Raffle prizes will include items like golf gear, Apparel, lessons, and local business items such as Promotional Products, coupons and discounts. Contests will include the usual closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and putting challenges.
Registration will be $74 per golfer, and a free drink ticket will be included with each registration.
The format will be a 9-hole scramble, and the start time has been moved to 8:15 am to account for the heat. A scramble will have all team members teeing off and each member will then tee off at the best shot spot and continues playing from each best shot spot until the ball gets in the hole. The team only records one score for each hole.
Women businesspeople that attend events like this usually bring Business Cards with them and use the non-playing time as networking opportunities.
The venue has a beginner-friendly layout, is very compact and walkable, easily accessed from Gilbert/Chandler and Mesa and has ample parking.
Fore the Ladies golf event will take play Saturday, May 30th at Greenfield Lake Golf Course, 2484 W Warner Road starting at 8:00 am and ending around 11:00 am.
