Something sweet comes to Gilbert

People in Gilbert who have a sweet tooth will want to mark their calendar for an upcoming tasty event.

Fluff It Marshmallows is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony later this month. The gala will be held as a kickoff event to mark the opening of the new Fluff It Marshmallow Café (aka: the Fluff It Bakery) here in town.

Up to now, these gourmet marshmallows have only been available online and at temporary venues around town e.g. Gilbert Farmers Market. Started by Tricia Medina just last year, her franchise is now taking the next step and setting up shop in the new location, allowing everyone to just stop by and get the goodies at their convenience.

Some flavors on offer include chocolate coconut macaroon, strawberry banana split, lemon bars, and cookies and cream. The cupcake alternatives can be purchased individually or by the dozen. Although prices run between $12 and $16, special occasion items that come atop striped sticks run about $22 per dozen.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1:00 pm and will run for about 45 minutes, at the Fluff It Marshmallows Café, August 22, 1034 N. Gilbert Road #3. It can be found between Guadalupe & Houston streets, and is just the sort of development that will often be supported by a poster or flyer printing campaign.
