The Playhard Project will be raising money later in May to further its mission to keep our local kids active. The event will be its First Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
Ninety-dollar individual tickets will include cart, a round of golf, practice balls, and dinner. Each of these golfers will be included in a group. Tickets for a group of four will cost $320 and will also include practice balls, four rounds of golf, and dinner. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase and golfers will get the chance to enter contests along the course. Independent sales consultants and small businesses from our area will be selling their services and merchandise throughout the venue.
The Playhard Project provides funds for kids from lower income families so they can participate in main stream and school sponsored sports, regardless of their financial situations. It believes no children should be left out of sports because of their inability to pay. This year the organization is working to raise $15,000.
Pictures taken at this event will no doubt make good additions to the organization’s Brochures and Flyers for next year’s event.
The Playhard Project Golf Tournament will be May 20 at the Kokopelli Golf Club, 1800 W. Guadalupe Road, Gilbert. Registration will start at 12:00 pm and the shotgun start will begin at 1:00 pm. The dinner will be served after the last hole is played.
