Gilbert Regional Park will be holding a Grand Opening in a couple of weeks. This will be held in the shape of a series of events for the park’s Phase 1B.
Dining in the Park will take place at Group Ramada on Thursday, October 15. The event will offer two seatings – one at 5:30 pm and the other at 7:15 pm. Tables for two to eight people must be reserved at $15 per person. Joe’s Real BBQ will provide the meal, followed by dessert from Frost Gelato, while music will be courtesy for Serena Nicolle.
Fall Fitness Friday on October 16 will be on the event lawn starting at 9:00 am with Zumba followed by Tone and Stretch and Prime Time Fitness at 10:20 am. Registration for social distancing circles (holding up to eight people) is required and will cost $5 per person. From 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm, Lane Change will entertain guests at the park’s new outdoor amphitheater.
On Saturday, October 17, the park will have a Youth Fishing Derby for kids 3 to 16 years old from 7:30 am until 11:00 am at the lake. A Youth Sand Volleyball Clinic will run from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for ages 7 to 9, and 10:45 am until 11:45 am for players age 10 to 14. Guests will receive event T-Shirts sporting the clinic’s colorful graphic design, along with other swag.
