One way for Gilbert patrons to support the local arts is to attend the upcoming ‘A Night at the Museum – Gilbert Comes Alive’ event.
This third annual fundraiser for the Gilbert Historical Society and Museum will once again be at the museum itself, which is the only local venue on the National Register of Historic Places. Former Miss America and local television personality Jineane Ford will emcee.
A cocktail reception will begin the evening. Brio Tuscan Grille will cater the dinner and a silent auction will follow. Guests can enjoy live entertainment and a little dancing as well, with the more business-minded guests likely to bring along some digital Business Cards.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to view The Tenth Annual Art of Quilting Quilt Show and Sale, which will be running during the event. This is a non-juried display of hand and machine-made quilts and wall hangings of all sizes. Nearly a third of all sales commissions will go to the Gilbert Historical Museum.
Also on display will be Gilbert Visual Art League’s 12th Annual Juried Fine Arts Show and Sale featuring two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork. The League will receive 20% commission on every sale.
The gala is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Gilbert Historical Museum, 10 S. Gilbert, Road, Gilbert. Tickets are $100 and tables of 10 are still available.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
