Many art enthusiasts here in Gilbert will be going to “Flourish” the upcoming season kick-off event at the Mesa Arts Center. This event will be family-friendly and free.
Desert Botanical Garden will be passing out succulent cuttings and Recycle City will give compost demonstrations.
The Art Studios
will have an open house. Some demonstrations will be in glass hotshop, metal, printmaking, ceramics, glass flameworking and a drawing and painting instructor exhibit.
CAZO Dance Company will be one of the performances scheduled.
“Flourish: The Art of Life on Earth” is inspired by one of the five new events opening at the Mesa Contemporary Art Museum.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles and get refills at the City of Mesa’s Water Resources Water Bar. Some food vendors will include Not Your Granny’s Apples, Paletas Betty, Freak Brothers Pizza, and beverages can be purchased at Udder Delights and Cuties Lemonade.
Botanical vendors will include Ahimsa Essentials, Holistic Earth Remedies and SW Herbs.
Kendra Sollars will create projections of blooming flowers and Lauren Lee will host a photo station. Patrons that support events such as this like to have their pictures taken. Many pictures find their way to local Stationery printers to be made into notecards or included in family Calendars.
The Mesa Arts Center season kick-off festival at 1 East Main Street, will take place Friday, September 13th from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
