Local venue presents a photo portfolio class for teens

In a couple of weeks, Gilbert teens between the ages 13 and 17 will get a chance to attend a Gilbert Art Intersection Teen Photography Class.

This series of four sessions is not for the novice, but will be designed for the serious teen photographer who wants to create a complete photo portfolio. Students will learn about different presentation styles and printing techniques that will lead to professional final prints.

Darkroom and digital lab times will be available for students to use to complete their projects. At the end of the class, each student will have completed an entire portfolio. Some of each student’s work done during the program will be exhibited via the Intersections website, and in the summer student catalogue.

Students will need to bring some of their work with them to the first session, or have completed the Art Intersection’s Advanced Summer Photography camp. All the Art Intersection staff will be involved in the program. Students may want to use local printing services to make Copies of their finished projects to send to multiple college programs, exhibitions, and employers.

The first session will begin Tuesday, July 14 and sessions will run daily until Friday, July 17, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Art Intersection, 207 N Gilbert Rd # 201, Gilbert. The class will cost $185 per student.
