Banner Health Center KAPOW! Superhero Adventure Run has been rescheduled for early October. Registration will reopen August 10th, although those who registered in the spring need not reregister.
The family-friendly course will feature around 20 fun yet challenging obstacles for costumed runners to cover over the slightly less than two miles. Some of these obstacles will include Thor Tires, Wonder Woman Wall, and Iron Man Crawl. Other challenges will be Batman’s Barricades, Mysterio’s Maze, and Juggernaut Mountain. Back again this year will be the popular Aqua-man’s waterslide.
Individual registration will be $25 until September 25 and then $30 until October 1. No one can register on race day.
Gotham City will be open from 8:00 am until noon. This area will have refreshments for the runners who have just finished the race, food and beverage vendors, inflatable activities, Superhero photo opportunities, and meet-and-greets with Arizona’s “Superheroes.” Attendees may also enjoy the live music entertainment.
The only Packet Pick Up will be at 90 E. Civic Center Drive at the Parks and Recreation Office September 30 and October 1 from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm. Registrants will also receive race wristbands, event Bags loaded with Promotional Products supplied by local sponsors, and superhero gifts.
KAPOW! Superhero Adventure Run will be October 3rd from 8:00 am until noon at Freestone Park, 1045 E. Juniper Avenue.
